Text Box: Welcome to my website—this version has been updated on 2nd January 2009.

I have had a presence on the web for about 10 years now, since having my first email account with Demon Internet, having got my first computer and 28k dial up connection. How things change!

I am an avid Railway enthusiast, particularly all things Great Western, (The main-line from Paddington down to the West Country being a favourite). Together with a keen interest in model railways, I am in the process of building a model of Henley on Thames. Full details of my railway interest are in the Railway section.

In 1977 we took a holiday to Hong Kong, where I bought my first SLR—a Pentax K1000—prior to which I had used a Box Brownie and a Kodak 126 camera. Over the years, I have stayed with Pentax and have now left 35mm film behind with the new K200D which is my third digital camera. The ‘photo at the top (right) is just outside Cranleigh, Surrey, taken in March 2008. The one on the left was a professional ‘photo taken in February 2008 More of my ‘photos are on Flickr.com, together with the ‘photo page.

Part of my life story is told through some of the bars and breweries I have known. These days of course, it is all real ale, rather than the fizzy stuff that was Watneys Red, sold usually as a Party Seven can! The page About me, will have all the details!

Family Tree: I started researching the family tree a few years ago and so far have got back to 1799. In the meantime, we have made contact with part of the family we had lost touch with. The family originally came from Harrow, although it was always assumed we came from Ealing, Middlesex.

Pride in Brighton and Hove: Apart from being very proud of our City (Brighton and Hove was granted City status as part of the Queens Golden Jubilee), I am also very proud that Brighton is the Gay capital of the UK. For two years, I was the official photographer for Pride. Some of my ’photos are now on-line in this section.
